چکیده

Currently, salinity is the second biggest challenge in world after drought and affects all stages of plant growth. The use environmentally friendly methods such as microorganisms their derivatives can reduce destructive effects stress. A growth chamber experiment was conducted to determine cell-free supernatant (CFS) from Bacillus strains on germination corn under Corn seeds were subjected three levels (0, 100 150 mM NaCl), (U35, U47, U48, U49, U50) at two dilution (1:50 1:250). Germination percentage rate decreased with increasing toward NaCl together leading suppressed variables for seed seedlings including fresh dry weight radicle (47.71 52.63%, respectively), shoot (49.52 49.25%, lengths (39.90 66.07%, respectively). Seed vigor index also by 63.04% NaCl. Contrary salinity, CFSs increased traits reduced negative especially severe salinity. Ratios 1:50 1: 250 gave best performance U35 U50, respectively. In general, highest obtained application CFS U50. Most correlated significantly positive; however, mean time negatively corn. results showed that use, may well-helped changing ratios phytohormones, ROS, activity antioxidant enzymes osmotic proteins, hence improve which eventually increases ability seedling establishment saline conditions.

Mitigation effects of non-enzymatic antioxidants in maize (Zea mays L.) plants under salinity stress

The effects of non-enzymatic antioxidative compounds such as ascorbic acid, thiamine HCl and β-carotene were investigated on salt stressed maize plants. The maize plants were sprayed with 100 mg L of ascorbic acid, thiamine or β-carotene solutions once a week, up to harvesting of plants. The treatment of NaCl was initiated 25 days after sowing by irrigating the plants with 125 mM NaCl solution....

Investigation Role of Vermicompost to Improve Quantitative and Qualitative Characteristics of Corn (Zea mays L.) Production

Overuse of different chemical fertilizers is one of the causes for the degradation of environment and soil. Biological fertilizers are the newest and most technically advanced way of supplying mineral nutrients to crops. Compared to chemical fertilizers, their supply nutrient for plant needs, minimizes leaching, and therefore improves fertilizer use efficiency. Vermicompost is an organic compou...

Film coating with sodium alginate improves seed germination of sweet corn (Zea mays var. Saccharata) under osmotic stress conditions

Drought stress influences seed germination and seedling growth of many plants. Seed coating is technique of covering seeds with adhesive agents to improve seed performance and plant establishment and could be used to alleviate the negative effects of osmotic stress. In order to solve the problem of low germination and poor vigor of sweet corn under osmotic stress conditions (0, -0.3, -0.6 and -...
